SHORT-TERM TRAINING PROGRAMS AT VCC! BE JOB READY ON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM AND EARN $25-$30 per hour + BENEFITS!
Medical laboratory Assistant Program. Do you enjoy working with people and aren't squeamish? In this 6 month program, students learn to provide safe, ethical and culturally sensitive care in a variety of practice settings. Duties include: phlbotomy, ECG's and more.
Pharmacy Technician. Prepares students for employment as pharmacy technicians in a variety of settings including community, hospital and longer term care pharmacies. This is a 37 week (6 months) full-time program. For students who enjoy working with people; who pay attention to detail and who have excellent communication skills.
Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistant. Be a part of the rehabilitation health care team! This is a 2-year full-time Program where graduates find employment in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, extended care facilities, private residences and private practices.
Health Unit Co-ordinator. Are you organized and have an eye for detail? Enjoy working with people and have an excellent command of verbal and written communication? This 8 month full time program will prepare you to work as a Health Unit Co-ordinator in a hospital and a variety of health care institutions.
Clean Energy Technology. This a a 2-year full-time Program that will give you the knowledge and technical expertise to work on clean energy systems, encompassing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical components and renewable energy technologies. An interesting note: a Construction Electrician Foundation program prepares students with the pre-requisites to take this Program.
