BC Tech Scholarship Program provides grants to exceptional students pursuing a post-secondary education in technology in BC. With over 100 scholarships handed out to date, many to students from groups traditionally under-represented in BC’s tech sector, most past recipients today work in tech or tech-enabled businesses in BC. You are registered with one of Ringette Canada’s provincial/territorial member associations and are actively playing ringette at the AA level (or at the highest level offered in the applicant’s community) during the current playing season.
You are entering a Canadian university on a full-time basis for the first time in the next academic year.
You have achieved academic excellence (minimum B average or equivalent).
You have demonstrated a strong commitment to the sport of ringette.

Robert T. Reynolds Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship of $2,000 is awarded annually in recognition of Robert T. Reynolds' exemplary service. Certain factors have a major bearing on an applicants' success, such as their participation in extracurricular activities, community volunteerism and school activities. Any Grade 12 student residing in, and attending school in Delta, who is advancing to post-secondary education is eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship of $2,000 is awarded annually to a eserving student pursuing post secondary education that has, through their actions, shown a caring and compassionate nature and actively services the community. Any Grade 12 student residing in, and attending school in Delta, who is advancing to post-secondary education to pursue a career in healthcare or philanthropy may apply.

Royal Canadian Legion, Delta Branch No. 61 Bursary
Value: 4 x $1,500

These bursaries are awarded to student who will be attending post secondary institutions on a full-time basis for a minimum of 2 consecutive semesters. Applicant must be a Canadian citizen and priority will be given to students who are in need of financial assistance and for those who are children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, spouses or surviving spouses of veterans. (It is noted that students who are not relatives of veterans may also apply and will be considered for a bursary from the Gaming Fund).

SHASHI ASSANAND BURSARY
VALUE: $1,000
APPLICATION DUE DATE: MAY 15, 2026
Open to female students in the Metro Vancouver school area who are completing grade 12 and are children of refugees or immigrants to Canada.
Applicants must be interested in pursuing a career in social work, education, psychology, nursing or social service and possess academic grades sufficient to allow admission into their chosen area of study/education facility and demonstrate financial need.
Applications are available in the Sands Career Centre and deadline to apply is May 15, 2026.
Leaders of Today Award
Value: $1,000
Application Due: February 15, 2026
The Leaders of Today Award is a $1,000 award designed to support young people as they explore their ideas, passions, and sense of purpose without limiting what leadership is supposed to look like.
This award is open to any young person under 30 living in Canada, whether they identify as a creator, entrepreneur, activist, artist, community builder, or something in between. A finished project, a formal title, or a polished plan is not required. What matters is curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to explore what they care about.
Our goal is to give youth the space to think freely, experiment boldly, and reflect on the kind of impact they want to make, on their own terms. By removing traditional barriers and expectations, the Leaders of Today Award encourages authentic thinking and diverse forms of leadership.

PATHWAY TO TEACHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Application due: 3:00 p.m. February 17, 2026
Value: $5,000
The Pathway to Teacher Education scholarship is awarded to 20 outstanding high school graduates who have demonstrated a commitment to and aptitude for a career in K–12 teaching.
Students selected for this award receive a $5,000 scholarship voucher from the Ministry of Education and Child Care that can be reimbursed for paid tuition after attending an approved teacher education program in the Faculty of Education at a B.C. post-secondary institution. To qualify, the program must lead to eligibility to apply for a B.C. teaching certificate and teach in the K–12 school system in this province.

DALTON CAMP AWARD

The Dalton Camp Award is a $10,000 prize for the best essay on the link between media and democracy, presented annually by Friends of Canadian Media. This award was launched in 2002 to honour the memory of Dalton Camp, a distinguished commentator on Canadian public affairs.
Eligible essays written in English up to 2,000 words in length are judged anonymously on both subject matter and strength of written expression.

Schulich Leader Scholarships are the largest and most prestigious undergraduate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) scholarships in Canada. Each year, 100 scholarships, valued at $100,000 - $120,000 per scholarship, are awarded. Every high school in Canada can nominate one graduating student. Sands will nominate ONE student!

Must be graduating high school in 2025-26 academic school year and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Plan to enroll in an eligible STEM program
Can demonstrate leadership, charisma, and creativity & be entrepreneurial-minded
Intend on pursuing a career in one or more of: Technology, Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Business enterprise, or applied scientific research.

Schulich Foundation will not consider students who:
Focus on activism (environmental/political/societal), who intend on becoming a Dr., dentist, nurse, psychologist, pharmacist, optometrist) or who intend to become a professor and conduct theoretical research.

The BC Excellence scholarship is for BC high school graduates who have demonstrated service and leadership, both at school and in their communities, and who show aptitude for and commitment to their chosen career or area of post-secondary study. To be eligible for this award, students must:
have the following final marks.
Minimum “B” average in grades 11 and 12 courses required for graduation
Minimum "B" (73% or above) in Language Arts 12
Minimum “B” average, no more than one "C+" (67% or above), and no marks lower than “C+” in courses that fulfill graduation requirements for Science 11 or 12, Math 11, and Social Studies 11 or 12
be nominated by their secondary school to qualify for this scholarship and each school may nominate one student only
As noted above, each high school in BC can nominate one student for this scholarship. Being nominated does not mean that you have won the scholarship but does mean that you will move forward in the application process.
