Topic 1 : Present Simple Tense
Simple Sentence is a sentence structure that contains one subject and predicate
Example :
My name is Suda.
I am Suda.
Present Simple Tense consist of subject and verb (1). However, direct object and complement are also added which depends on the situation. method
The Principle of Present Simple Tense
1. Use the Simple Present to express the idea that an action is happen as usual
I walk to school everyday.
2. Use the Simple Present to express the idea that an action is a regular habit or show the regularity of action. It is always used adjective to indicate the frequency of that action.
I always go to school by the school bus.
3. Use Simple Present to express the idea that an action is a fact or natural phenomenon.
Sun rises in the east
4. Use Simple Present to talk about scheduled events or plan
My class starts from 9.00 am until 4.00 pm.
5. Use Simple Present to make a request, instruction, or give an advice
Open the door.
Go straight and turn left on the next corner.
The structure of Present Simple Tense
Affirmative sentence : Subject + Verb1
I / You / We / They + eat + rice
Negative Sentence : Subject + do/does + not + Verb1
I / You / We / They + do + not + eat + rice
He / She / It + does + not + eat + rice
Interrogative Sentence : Do/Does + Subject + Verb1?
Do + I / You / We / They + eat + rice?
Does + He / She / It + love + you?
Interrogative Sentence : Who/What/Where/When/Why/How + do/does + Subject +Verb1
Why + do + I / you / we / they + eat + rice?
Why + does + he / she / it + love + you?
**Short form of do/does not are don’t และ doesn’t**

I am a student.
