1. In a medium saucepan place ½ cup of sugar.
2. Add ¼ cup cocoa and a dash of salt.
3. Mix well.
4. Stir in 1/3 cup HOT water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture
comes to a boil.
5. Boil and stir for 2 minutes.
6. Add 4 cups of milk; stirring constantly, heat until hot. Do Not Boil.
7. Remove from heat; add ¾ teaspoon vanilla. Beat with a rubber whisk until foamy.
