The School Counseling Services Department at Deer Lakes Middle School offers a safe environment for middle schoolers to visit when they are experiencing difficulties with academic, behavioral, or personal concerns. This office can assist students as well as parents and guardians in accessing services needed to address any of the above stated concerns.
About Your School Counselor
The Middle School Counseling Services Department is staffed by Jackie Jaros. Ms. Jaros is a proud graduate of Deer Lakes. She went on to study at Westminster College where she earned an undergraduate degree in elementary education and a minor in communications. Ms. Jaros furthered her education and received her master's degree in school counseling from Duquesne University.

Office Visits and Appointments
OFFICE HOURS - 7:05 - 2:50 PM Monday - Thursday and Friday 7:35 AM - 2:50 PMStudents can make a request to see Ms. Jaros from the comfort of their Chromebook by filling out this Google Form.
Parents/Guardians can schedule a meeting with Ms. Jaros.
When students are absent from school
If your child is absent from school, students should access their grade level Google Classroom to collect work that will be missed. Assignments and sessions will be posted there. If students have additional questions about missed work while absent, students can contact their teacher via email.
