School Counseling Curriculum

The Deer Lakes Middle School Counseling Office works with all grade levels and many classroom teachers to deliver a variety of skills and meet benchmarks established by the state of Pennsylvania in the Career Education and Work Standards.

The Career Education and Work Standards address four areas of knowledge:

• Career Awareness and Preparation

• Career Acquisition (Getting a Job)

• Career Retention and Advancement

• Entrepreneurship
