Students who take the bus will have a bus tag with QR code in the first weeks or school. This tag will be attached to the student's backpack and must be scanned as the student boards and unboards the school bus. For more information on student transportation, go to dsts.on.ca
The Durham Student Transportation Service arranges busing. If your child is eligible for transportation you may access bus information, beginning the week before school starts, by calling the automated telephone system at 1-866-908-6578 to find out the bus number, pick up and drop off times and where your child will meet the bus. When arriving at school, bussed students will be escorted from the bus to the Kindergarten area, where they will await the school bell. At dismissal, students will be escorted directly from the classroom to their bus. During the first few weeks, students will practise these routines. If you visit the Transportation Department website www.dsts.on.ca you can register for ‘TRACK MY CHILD'S BUS’ to receive notifications if the bus is delayed more than 10 minutes. In the morning, students must be at their stop no less than 5 minutes before its scheduled time.
PRYDE operates a before and after school care program at the school. If you would like information about the PRYDE Daycare program, contact - Sheldon Schaufler-Biback (Supervisor).
