Hope & Zell Miller Scholarship
Hope & Zell Miller Scholarship
Students begin earning HOPE scholarship on their very first day of high school. HOPE scholarship is earned through academic performance and rigor. All core area classes (English, math, science, social studies, and foreign language) 9th- 12th grade count towards a student's HOPE GPA and HOPE Scholarship eligibility. Students apply to receive HOPE scholarship during their senior year of high school by completing the GSFAPPS and/or FAFSA. Please see the Financial Aid page GAfutures website for more information on these forms.

3.7 HOPE (academic, unweighted) GPA or above
4 classes of academic rigor
Qualifying test score (1200 SAT OR 25 ACT)
HOPE, Zell Miller, and Hope Career Grant
HOPE, Zell Miller, and Hope Career Grant
HOPE, Zell Miller, and HOPE Career Grants are Georgia programs aimed at helping students who are working towards a certificate or diploma at an eligible college or university in Georgia. Like HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships, students must meet eligibility requirements to receive funding. Any grant money received will count towards the maximum combined 127 semester hour grant and scholarshiplimit. Click the links below to learn more about each of these programs.

You can also look at your chosen institution's website to see if they have any scholarships you can apply for or check with your or your parent's employer. Many employers sponsor scholarship programs. Community organizations you belong to are another great resource.
Be careful when you're searching for scholarships not to sign up for scholarship services that charge. There are plenty of free search options out there so there is no need to sign up for any paid service. Paid services are usually designed to take advantage of students and their parents.
Don't ignore smaller scholarship award amounts. Every little bit can help!
