The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) measures a young adult's strengths and potential for success in military training.
To enlist in the military, recruits must receive a qualifying AFQT score. The AFQT score is determined by the tester's performance in the areas of Paragraph Comprehension, Word Knowledge, Mathematics Knowledge, and Arithmetic Reasoning of ASVAB assessment. Each branch of the military sets a minimum AFQT score so check check with the branch you are interested in to know the specific score you will need to enlist in that branch.
The individual branches also use the ASVAB to determine what military occupational specialties (MOS) you qualify for. Each specialty has different required scores in specific sections of the ASVAB.
For more information on the ASVAB please visit todaysmilitary.com or goarmy.com
