Optimizing Tech for Learning

Optimizando la tecnología para aprender

Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado seeks to create “a [learning] community that cares for and respects each individual, [where] we work together to create an academically-challenging environment, [as well as] support learning and high achievement and to promote productive and responsible citizenship” (DCSD, 2018, para. 2). Furthermore, the Douglas County School District makes “every reasonable effort to ensure that students use District IT appropriately and responsibly” (DCSD, 2018, para. 3), including proper use of district networks. Therefore, it is imperative that all teachers at MVHS allocate time and energy to endowing students with the knowledge and skills that are pertinent to appropriate and innovative use of technology at school.
