UCAS- What is it?
It stands for Universities and College Admissions Service (UCAS). Put simply, it is the way that you apply for university and since the vast majority of our pupils have ambitions to apply, it is an important part of being a DCHS 6th Former.
We start the process of application in the summer term of Yr 12 with what we call a Higher Education Progression Day. This involves understanding how we apply, the process if application depending on what interests you, the decisions that you will need to make and also an introduction to the courses that you could apply for. We have universities that present and we also go on a university visit to a local university and we have a parents event so that everyone who will need to guide you understands the process.
It is one of the most exciting events of the year as you start to look beyond DCHS at the next exciting chapter in your life and we will support you every step of the way!
