At DCHS 6th Form we are very focused on preparing you for the world beyond our gates and to give you the opportunities and skills to  go on and be successful not only in our community but the communities that your talents will take you to around the world.

We are very proud of our 6th Form Alumni who can be found across the globe doing many exciting things such as working for the Canadian Government right through to starring in America or London in Broadway Shows! We historically have found that you will go down four routes when you join us in 6th Form. When you leave us many students either:

1. Apply for university and take up a place

2. Apply for an apprenticeship

3. Take a Gap year

4. Go into employment

At DCHS we work with you to prepare you for one of these routes through our tutor programme which is delivered during registration with your form tutor. We also engage with outside agencies to help prepare you for job applications, university interviews and we have an independent DCHS careers advisor that meets with students who are not applying to university. We also have a 6 week Applying for Apprenticeship course in the Spring of Year 13 designed to help you prepare for any apprenticeships

We also use Unifrog to help with applications and references. This outstanding careers tool will be an essential part of your work and preparation as you get yourself ready for the world beyond the gates of DCHS 6th Form.
