The study of Economics makes you aware of current controversies concerned with Economic well-being, Poverty, Globalization, Environment and Pollution.

Economics Department of Deshbandhu College, university of Delhi has been one of the reputed and well known departments of the university. The department has nine faculty members with research and teaching interests that span a broad range of fields which include Macroeconomics, Indian Economy, Statistics, Econometrics, Economic growth, International trade, Finance and Microeconomics.

The new Economic syllabus offers tremendous opportunities for making a promising career in various areas like Banking, Finance, Government, Non- Government Organizations and Multinational Companies.

The teaching practice comprises of methods like project work, presentations, debates, written assignments and cooperative learning.

The department runs the Economics society ‘Ecozest’ which organizes various events including lectures and seminars throughout the year.

Our students have consistently performed well and have been getting admissions in top most universities for higher education.
