Hello, EV Families,
I wanted to SHOUT OUT our Academic Team students for their dedication and hardwork to pushing their academics even further each week. Our students competed this week in Future Problem Solvers and Written Composition! They showed grit, passion, and represented East View proudly! Tomorrow, Saturday, February 1st, our Quick Recall and Written Assessments students will compete. We have no doubt they will continue to represent East View! Shout Out to Mrs. Millay, Mrs. Barnard, and Ms. Jones for coaching these amazing kiddos!
We hope each and every Shining Sun has a wonderful weekend! We will see students on Monday, February 3rd ~ Ready to Learn, Ready to Lead, and Ready to show Solar Pride!
We hope to see you soon,
Mrs. Grigsby

This week we will be working on honesty, consideration and courtesy. Below is an at-home activity you can do to extend their leadership around these skills at home.
DCPS Responds to Family Requests - More Help at Night for Homework!
Homework can sometimes present a challenge for families. Last spring, the DCPS Family Advisory Council suggested that DCPS offer support virtually to families and students. If you are a DCPS student, you can now access the Homework Helper Monday through Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm via this link.
Just a friendly reminder ~ Please complete the Visitor Lunch Registration Form linked in the Lunch Visitor Guidelines document below if you or a family member plan to attend lunch with a student. This helps our school and cafeteria prepare for the visit! Greatly appreciate you!
Hello, EV Families,
Even with a shorter, 4-day week, we were still rowing and growing here at East View! Students and staff made the best of those 4 days with learning as our top priority! I am so proud of each and every Shining Sun! The months of January, February, and March may feel longer due to less breaks, BUT, this is peak time for instruction, learning, growth, and student success!
We hope each and every Shining Sun has a wonderful weekend! We will see students on Monday, January 27th ~ Ready to Learn, Ready to Lead, and Ready to show Solar Pride!
We hope to see you soon,
Mrs. Grigsby

We are working on adding to each other's Emotional Bank accounts by building trust by being a good friend. We want to make deposits in other's accounts.
