DRC’s Professional Learning is a system designed to provide districts with a single robust, integrated platform of preLAS and LAS Links training courses. This virtual training platform is available 24/7 and provides 5 courses to choose from. Each course provides a certificate once the course criteria is met.
Information on navigating the Professional Learning platform is located in the Professional Development section of www.LASLinks.com/Texas
A certificate is highly recommended but not required by DRC nor TEA. However, the district may require a certificate so the user will need to check with their Point of Contact.
The following professional learning courses are available on DRC INSIGHTS portal:
LAS Links Español Scoring Calibration
LAS Links Online Assessments Training Modules
LAS Links Paper Assessments Training Modules
preLAS Administration Training
preLAS Español Calibration
Each course is self-paced and can be taken over the course of a few days. They also can be taken as many times as they wish, there is no limit. While each course has an estimated 2.5 hours completion time, if you have attended or viewed an in-person and/or webinar (recorded or live) training, you may bypass the training videos in the course(s) and instead work towards your certificate by immediately taking the embedded course quizzes.
Test administrators will receive a certificate of calibration once they receive a 90% or better on the “check your knowledge” and “scoring calibration” quizzes associated with each course.
District level users can manage and view user progress on certificates throughout their district. Guidance for the tracking process is found in the Professional Development section of www.LASLinks.com/Texas and click on "Generating the Professional Learning Certificate Tracking and Completion Report"
