2020 Award Winners

The Student Life Awards recognize some of the outstanding work students and organizations have achieved throughout the academic year. This year, the departments and offices that make up Student Life (the Collis Center, Student Involvement, Dartmouth Broadcasting, Dartmouth Forensics Union, Community Standards, Outdoor Programs, and Greek Life) celebrated these accomplishments with a virtual ceremony.

The Student Life Award is presented to Mychaela Anderson '20

The Student Life Award is presented to a student who best exemplifies the core values of leadership, inclusivity, partnership, and collaboration as articulated in the Office of Student Life mission and whose involvements cross organizational and departmental lines.

Mychaela has had a presence in almost every aspect of Student Life. She has had touched upon major moments in the student experience through her work in the Collis Center, Greek Life, Outdoor Programs, and Student Involvement. Listing off every organization, committee, and council does not speak to the care, compassion, and hard work this student has given to support the student life experience at Dartmouth. She works on these programs because she believes in them and has often times made them better. She is a strong student advocate pushing for inclusion and a better Dartmouth. She is a constant presence in Collis—all around campus really. Wherever you find her--the room is a little brighter and happier.

Mychaela Anderson, for all you’ve contributed to here, it is my honor to present you with this Student Life Award. As a token of our appreciation, Mychaela will receive a handcrafted bowl made from a local Dartmouth tree.
