Daniel started with Dartmouth Broadcasting this year as a Sophomore, and has quickly become a very dependable member of the staff. Daniel jumped right in, learned the equipment very quickly, and immediately delivered a consistent, entertaining show every night. Daniel never missed a show during his entire term. Daniel was also involved with the Presidential candidates who came to campus, including Yang, Buttigieg, Gabbard, as well as John Lynch and Jill Biden. Dartmouth Broadcasting looks forward to having him around for the next two years.
Connor has been an invaluable asset to Dartmouth Broadcasting for his entire 4 years here at Dartmouth. Since showing up at the activities fair as a freshman, Connor has spent probably the most time on the third floor of Robinson. Connor has successfully moved up through the student directorate, most recently being the latest General Manager. Dartmouth Broadcasting wishes Connor the best of luck and continued success in his future endeavors after graduation.
Ray has fast become the most involved member of Dartmouth Broadcasting. Before the pandemic, he single-handedly took over the entire WDCR website, redesigned it, made it more user-friendly for students, and streamlined the hosting. During the current situation, he has managed to not only continue these tasks from a computer in his kitchen at home, but has also successfully kept students doing shows remotely on WDCR.
Dartmouth Broadcasting is pleased to award the Nagle award to Taylor Mauney for a few different reasons. First off, Taylor is an all-around fantastic person to have around, as a co-worker, and a friend. He is very skilled on the air, is very familiar with the equipment, and has the personality to constantly be entertaining. Taylor is also a military veteran, and has spent his extracurricular time producing his own audio and video podcast as well. Taylor also writes fiction, screenplays, and DCB can’t think of anyone else who deserves the Nagle award this year. The Nagle award is given for significant achievement in Broadcast Journalism, and/or documentary audio visual communication. Taylor is all of this.
Lila deserves this award for her very valuable work behind the scenes at Dartmouth Broadcasting. From her work on WFRD, to her exemplary work on WDCR, including her attempts to improve the station's news broadcasts, candidate interviews including Cory Booker, and her behind-the-scenes work with the other WDCR students in making their shows successful.
Laurel deserves this award for her service to Dartmouth Broadcasting, specifically her work with WDCR, including helping keeping students engaged during remote learning, as well as keeping other students as well as listeners updated with her blog on the station webpage.
