The Senior Leader Award is given by the Forensic Union to a student who illustrates and best demonstrates the level of commitment academic excellence and intellectual engagement hat is expected of leading member of the Forensic Union. This year's award winner Joseph Estrada '20 had an excellent season performed with great aplomb and we are sad that he did not get to compete in his final national debate tournament.
The Brooks cup is awarded to a first year student who reflects the ethos and commitment to policy debate that is likely to bring future success to the team. This year's award winner is Tyler Vergho '23. Tyler had an excellent season, qualified for the national debate tournament, which is an achievement in and of itself for a first year student and he and his partner (Jonathan Lee '23) reached the elimination rounds of more than one national tournament.For a First-Year team, this is a truly incredible level of success, and we look forward to both of their futures in the Forensic Union.
