Deans support students in their engagement with the curriculum and in their overall educational experience at Dartmouth. Deans can serve as:
Resources for academic, personal, and social advising
Resources for improving academic performance
Conduits of information about the College and its procedures
Sources of support for students who have various kinds of concerns
Sources of encouragement and information for students pursuing various kinds of opportunities
Referrals to other College offices
Administrators of academic and conduct regulations
The Guarini Institute is the main contact for your home school, and acts as a liaison between Dartmouth and your home school.
Staff at the Guarini Institute are available to speak to exchange students about any concerns that come up while you are here. Guarini staff can help connect you with offices on campus that can address questions or issues you may have.
The Office of the Registrar maintains students’ permanent academic records and provides services for students in the areas of academic policy, enrollment, and course information.
This office also provides transcripts.

Adjusting to a new college and academic expectations can be challenging - if you need support it is here for you!
The Writing Center offers free tutoring to undergraduate students working on projects that involve writing, speaking, research or media composing. RWIT tutors are undergraduates who are trained to support their peers' learning through one-on-one tutoring, classroom workshops, and the Writing Assistance Program.
To get a one-on-one consultation with a tutor, students can sign up for sessions in advance via the link above. Every term, RWIT is open during most evenings from the second week through the last day of classes.
Dartmouth Libraries are available to you to help with accessing Dartmouth library materials via zoom or chat.
Dartmouth offers a wide range of library locations and options throughout campus. Library services include assistance with searches and research, workshops, off-campus access, and more.
