Hi, my name is Sriram, I am fourteen years old and a 9th grader at Darien High School. I enjoy Mathematics and Science. This inspired me to choose the subject I did for my project.
Our current world is in a state of crisis. With the global pandemic, focus has been shifted from other huge problems that affect us. This is why I chose environment as the subject of my project. According to research, climate change and global warming are the biggest problems that we face today. I plan to directly reduce the amount of carbon emissions by using masks. I will implement a design that directly filters carbon dioxide from your breath and turns it into a fuel source, or some other material that can be sold.
During this project I learned a lot more about chemistry and electric engineering. I learned about electricity while rigging the solar panel to the HHO Generator. Additionally, I had to reseaerch for several hours in order to find a way to hydrogenate carbon dioxide into methane. Through this research, I had to
Mini Goal #2: To start making a prototype that implements my research from my first Mini Goal.
Progress Update #2: So far I have found multiple methods to turn carbon dioxide captured from your breath to be exhaled. However, My original Mini Goal of having a finished prototype fell short.
I inted on making a prototype to present as my third Mini Goal.
Mini Goal #1: Find a method to turn carbon dioxide into a viable source of energy in a way that is consumer friendly.
Progress Update #1: So far I have researched multiple ways that people currently reduce carbon emissions, where the most carbon is omitted into the atmosphere from.
