Jazz Ensemble

The DAHS Jazz Ensemble is our advanced extracurricular jazz band. Jazz Ensemble is comprised of five saxophones, 4-5 trombones, 4-5 trumpets, two percussionists, piano, bass, and guitar. Each year, Jazz Ensemble performs several times at school concerts, our annual Jazz Night, and at jazz festivals and competitions.

Jazz Night is a coffeehouse-style event held at a community venue each year. Students from the Band program run the event as waiters delivering table service, kitchen staff, ticket sellers, and stage crew while our jazz bands perform for patrons. We would like to thank our community partners at Boil Line Coffee and Bason Coffee Roasters for their generous coffee donations each year to help sponsor this event.
