Theme 4: Community Hubs

Aim

To explore the viability of developing professional learning communities, associations and hubs to support peer learning and networking for those in data roles within the education sector

How

Explore how existing successful models could be transferred and adapted to support those in data roles, for example the STEM learning partnership and the National Centre for Computing network models

Work with sector advocates to consider the creation of a new professional association for those in data roles within the education sector.​  

Why

The development of communities of practice and learning hubs play a vital role across many professions to give access to quality assured, relevant CPD and to provide forums for peer mentoring and discussion of current issues. An assessment of how these could play a part to support those in data roles across the sector will aim to suggest the possible future development of such hubs
