To consider how skills frameworks can be of value to support both leaders and staff in data roles.
This will be explored, through several consultation events held across the project partnership with a range of organisations from inside and within the education sector.
The project will explore the Digital, Data and Technology Profession Capability Framework (ddat-capability-framework.service.gov.uk) and how this could be used within the education sector.
This theme will be supported by an evaluation of the transferability of models available to other roles within the education sector, for example, the school business management competency framework which has contributed to the professionalisation of this role within the school sector.
Exploring skills and competency frameworks for those on data roles will support the creation of a sustainable model that could support senior leaders to make informed decisions about staff development and recruitment
Access to defined professional career pathways and qualifications will lead to higher status for those in data roles and support aspiring high performing data leaders to continue working in the education sector.
