Dallastown Area School District is proud to implement our CARES initiative through all levels of our students' academic journey. Through CARES we can help students become Compassionate, Accountable, Respectful, Ethical, and Service-Minded members of the Dallastown community. During our school year students will be encouraged to show these qualities in their daily routines. Together we will show that a community that cares, follows the Wildcat Way.
A community that CARES follows the Wildcat Way!
On your student's schedule you will see that they will return to each core class/teacher once per cycle (4 out of 6 days). During this time, students receive academic support and enrichment while building a sense of community and belonging with their section/class and their team. We will also use this time to review school expectations to ensure a respectful and safe environment for all in our building. On the days they do not have C.A.R.E.S., students will have Phys. Ed. on their schedule.

Parents who would like for their students to be car riders should follow the route outlined in yellow areas on the above map. Our gym doors will open at 7:00 every morning for car riders to enter. On a regularly scheduled school day, students are required to be in the building and in homeroom by 7:35 each morning and are dismissed at 2:50 every afternoon.
Please visit Skyward to find pick up and drop off times for your student. The above picture illustrates where our busses will line up for dismissal. Students will be dismissed at 2:50 on regularly scheduled school days.
If your student is going to miss school whether it be due to illness, family emergency, or a trip please be sure to report it on Skyward. For step by step instructions on how to do this please visit https://ms.dallastown.net/attendance. Any attendance questions can be directed to Mrs. Knaub at bridget.knaub@dallastown.net or by calling 717.244.4021x2501.
Please join us on August 12th from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm for our open house. This is a great opportunity for students to walk the halls and find their classrooms before the first day of school. While most teachers will not be available for this event, they will be available on our Meet the Teacher Night (see below). During our open house, our administrators and counselors will be present to greet you!
Visit our online spirit wear store to purchase your Wildcat gear for the 2025/2026 school year! The store is open until August 24th and orders will arrive at the Middle School in September.
Reminder - all students must wear Dallastown shirts for Gym/PE.
