Students may not use or display personal communication devices during the school day. This includes:

- Smart glasses
- Any other device capable of digital communication

How are devices stored?
How are devices stored?
- Students store devices in district-issued locking cell phone pouches throughout the school day.
- The pouches are unlocked at the end of the day using a magnetic unlocking station.
- Campuses awaiting pouches will require devices to remain secured in backpacks until pouches arrive.

If a student uses or displays a prohibited device:

- The device will be confiscated.
- Violations are treated as a Level II offense under the Dallas ISD Student Code of Conduct.
- At campuses with Reset Centers, the first offense may result in placement in Reset.
- Repeated offenses may lead to more serious disciplinary consequences, including DAEP after the second offense, as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.

To ensure your concerns are addressed as efficiently as possible, please follow the steps below:
Email the Staff Member
Send an email directly to the teacher, counselor, assistant principal, principal, or other staff member you would like to meet with. In your email, briefly explain the reason for your meeting request.Allow 24 Hours for a Response
Staff members will respond to your email within 24 business hours.Receive a Calendar Invitation
Once the staff member reviews your request, they will schedule a meeting and send you a calendar invitation with the meeting date, time, and location (or virtual meeting link, if applicable).Confirm Your Appointment
Accept the calendar invitation to confirm your attendance. If you need to reschedule, please reply to the email as soon as possible so another meeting time can be arranged.

This codifies for all students what our common procedures, expectations, and standards are. No need to assume because it is in writing for us to hold ourselves and each other accountable!
Please share any campus concerns, challenges, or areas that need attention. These concerns will be discussed during our weekly A-Team meetings and communicated through the appropriate Content Team Leader for follow-up and support.
