Getting a JumpStart on

the NEW School Year

Well, Grants Pass High School Colleagues, the dreaded period is upon us. School has begun and COVID is still around; what a unique time to live in. Nevertheless, it is important to stay on top of schoolwork and, even more importantly, look for opportunities to secure some money for your future with the skills you have. To help you out, I have compiled a few scholarship search engines to add onto the monthly Scholars' Column.

Going Merry is one of my personal favorite scholarship search engines. It is "a free scholarship search and application platform" with "personalized matching. thousands of scholarships and grants". One of Going Merry's key features is its bundled scholarships. This lets you fill out an application that is being used by multiple donors or organizations and submit it so that you can have eggs in multiple baskets! Truly astounding!

Fastweb is this amazing scholarship search engine for high schoolers and college students alike. It provides instant access and easy accessibility to hundreds of scholarships. The wonderful thing about Fastweb is that it allows for one to tailor it so that one can come across scholarships that are perfect for you! One of the best parts of Fastweb is the diversity of these scholarships; some of them don't even require essays! Earning money for your education just got a whole lot easier!

bold.org is yet another search engine for finessing your way to college with your skills and abilities as not just a student, but also as person. There are plenty of scholarships on this site that don't even require an essay! They base their rewards on applicants' profiles, such as what they are incorporated in, achievements, classes taken, etc. An extremely easy engine with opportunities for everyone. Once again, remember to use the other form at the bottom of the page to provide some feedback.

Until next month, work hard--and good luck!
