A New School Year Is Upon Us!

Say goodbye to the summer heat, and hello to a new school year and fall season! Is everyone excited to be in-person for the new school year? Here's to hoping for a semi-normal school year for our community and students alike. Be sure to continue washing your hands as much as possible to not just fight COVID germs, but also all the other sicknesses that come with the cold of the new season. Be sure to check out all our club information and Halloween-related articles to kick your school year off right! We also have a bit of a spooky-scavenger hunt... our lovely photographers Chris and J have taken some festive ghost-photos and hidden them around this month's issue. Can you find all seven?

Have a safe October! And as always...

Happy Scrolling!

-The Grants Pass High School Scroll Team

The Scroll is recruiting!

With the start of the new year, The Scroll is looking for new members! ESPECIALLY freshmen and sophomores. The only thing we love more than our readers is having even more content to provide them with, and we can do just that with a bigger team. The Scroll believes anybody can write, no matter your ability. (That is why we have editors!) Our newspaper is more focused on getting student voice to the community than anything else. We do not just stop at writing. Anything you can think of to contribute to our issues will gladly be accepted by us, including art, photography, film, poetry, plays, skits, podcasts, fashion columns, sports reporting, interviewing, music, and so much more! Don't be scared to join. We are a very relaxed, fun environment! You define your experience on The Scroll, whether it be casual or more intense. The club also offers Journalism credit opportunities for all your college application needs.
