Walking down the school hallways, students see all different kinds of hairstyles: mullets, perms, and man buns. Some may think, Well, what is the problem with these hairstyles? But do you live in a Yee-haw state? When you live in these kinds of states, boys in high school seem to take it way too far. They tend to take it to the extreme. Many of us walk into school and see some interesting hairstyles, but the ones that seem to stick out the most are mullets, perms, and man buns. Let’s dive into more about these hairstyles.
It's time for business in the front and party in the back. Yes, we’re talking about the famous mullet. The mullet is shaved and/or cut in the front and sides of the hair, and the back is lusciously, disgustingly long. There is a way to make the Yee-haw hairstyle acceptable. If you cut the hair a little less on the sides and front of the hair, then make it a little shorter in the back. This way, you are proportioning it correctly and it can correctly frame your face shape. Just a reminder to everyone out there with mullets: you need to absolutely brush out your hair. If you are going to have a mullet, then you are going to need to keep it tamed. The party can include a little maintenance.

Let’s grab some Alkaline perm lotions and some rollers and roll right into another famous hairstyle called the perm. A perm can go either way. For a guy, it can either look fantastic or terrible. According to Wow Skin Science, if someone with a perm washes their hair too soon, then it can cause frizz and damage the curls. Salons recommend waiting 48 hours before using shampoo and water on the hair. People who wash their hair right after the perm can look like Einstein. Perms are like a bird. You have to treat them with care and if you don’t they can get ugly.
Grab some hair gel, get a hair tie, and slick your hair into a man bun. A man bun can go both ways. The wearer can shave the sides of their hair, but can also leave hair long across the whole head. It depends on the person. If a person has a man bun, then they should never put it too high on the head. They should do a low bun, mid bun, or a high-mid bun. According to USA Today, those who arrange the bun too tightly could lose hair. It doesn’t guarantee hair loss, but it is a possibility. If done correctly, the man bun can be a perfect addition to your head. Remember: hairstyles don’t define a person, but it can help with finding your true self.
