The Growers Market is now indoors at the Josephine County Fairgrounds. The winter market is open from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturdays. Days in January that the market will be open are the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and the 29th. Their CSA Farms are Fry Family Farm, Quail Run Farm, Runnymede Farm, Sweet Farm Water Farm, Terra Sol Organics, and Barking Moon. Fresh produce, vegetables, bread, pastries, meats, and crafts are all available. There is much to see and most people spend 20-45 minutes at the Growers Market. The option to call vendors, pre-order, and have farm fresh produce ready for pick-up is available. The address is 1451 Fairgrounds Rd.

The Frostbite Run has two different races. This year, Jackson County Physical Therapy is sponsoring the run. It is located at Talent Middle School, 102 Christian Ave, Talent. The 5k race is out and back on Foss Road. The 10k takes the same route, but turns on Adams Road and Colver Road. Both races have a $25 registration fee for adults. Southern Oregon Runner members save $5. The race is free for youth under the age of 18. Registration ends January 6. Both races will be Saturday, January 8. The 10k race starts at 11:00 AM and ends at 12:59 PM. The 5k race starts at 11:30 AM and ends at 12:59 PM.

Southern Oregon’s communities have come together to set up a volunteer service for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. To celebrate and honor the holiday, volunteers will meet at the public park, Oredson Todd Woods, to remove the invasive blackberry and mulching trails. The address is 2200 Lupine Drive, Ashland, Oregon. Volunteers will start arriving at 10:00 AM and will stay until 1:00 PM. This event was put together by Ashland Parks Division, Southern Oregon Land Conservancy, The Crest, and United Communities AmeriCorps.

Throughout the month of January, at the Common Fields in Corvallis, Oregon, there will be family-friendly, live concerts with many genres of music. Some of this music includes American folk rock, American ’80s and ’90s pop, indie folk rock, grunge, rock, alternative, and much more. Artists will be performing every Wednesday and Thursday during the month. Seating is limited and first-come, first-served. Dinner is available at the Common Fields. The address is 545 SW 3rd Street, Corvallis. All music will start at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.
