This is my 19th year teaching in District 64, and 11th year as an art teacher. Before teaching Art, I taught as a second and third grade classroom teacher at Roosevelt Elementary. I have also taught Art classes at Brickton Art Center during the summer months and served as a D64 tutor.
In 2005, I graduated summa cum laude from Concordia University Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Visual Art. While teaching at Roosevelt Elementary School, I earned my Masters of Arts degree in Teacher Leadership from St. Xavier University. Since then, I have taken many graduate courses in art history and education.
I love to spend time with my husband and two children, Declan and Aubrey. We go on walks, read books, play together, and visit family & friends. I enjoy singing, painting, and reading in my free time.
