I recently found this article online, and thought it was very informative and fits with much of the philosophy of our Enrichment Program. It is from Scientific American and is titled "The Secret to Raising Smart Kids". The idea is to praise hard work in overcoming challenges and not focusing on your child's innate intelligence or ability. It has some great suggestions, especially at the end of the article. I encourage you to read it. Click here for the link, and let me know what you think. I've also attached a pdf of the article at the bottom of this page in case you can't access it online.
Many of the assignments that I give are long-term assignments. In math, it might be DynaMath or IXL and in reading it could be research projects or book projects. I found this chart and thought I would share it with you. Hopefully it will help you help your child.
