The purpose and intention of math homework is for practice. Math, much like playing a sport, requires upkeep and practice so skills are not lost or forgotten.
Nightly, (with the exception of Friday) your son or daughter will have math homework (practice).
Homework (practice) should generally take no more than 30 minutes a night. If you are finding that a particular assignment is taking your son or daughter more than 30 minutes, please stop them and jot a note on the homework assignment or send me an email.
Homework will generally not be a worksheet, but will be problems assigned from the text. It should be completed neatly on notebook paper so it can be turned in. In the event there is not a formal assignment for homework, I still expect students to be practicing their facts, or working on IXL or DynaMath.
