The purpose and intention of math homework is for practice. Math, much like playing a sport, requires upkeep and practice so skills are not lost or forgotten.
Nightly, (with the exception of Friday) your son or daughter will have math homework (practice). Homework (practice) should take no more than 30 minutes a night. If you are finding that a particular assignment is taking your son or daughter more than 30 minutes, please stop them and jot a note on the homework assignment or send me an email. Students will also be given time during the math hour to begin working on this.
Homework may not always be from the workbook. In the event there is not a formal homework sheet or workbook page assigned, I still expect students to practice math facts, or work on IXL.

The grade level textbook, workbook and virtual manipulatives, are all available online.
