Fruita Cowboys Played Against Orchard Mesa Ravens In The Playoffs

The Fruita Cowboys have gone against the Orchard Mesa Ravens for the first playoff game. The score of the game was 13-14. The game was played on October 18th Saturday at nine in the morning at Canyon View Park. The Cowboys went 0-5-1 during the regular season. But the Cowboys went 0-1 in the playoffs, officially ending their season.
Since the start of the season to now, the Cowboys have improved way more since week one of the season. The offensive line has done better at blocking. Receivers got better at catching. And the running backs got better at being able to pick up first downs. Not just that but the defense has also been getting better, with more short coverage and intercepting. And the defensive line was getting better at rushing through the line and putting pressure on the quarterback.
Some opinions of the game from the players, brecken hooser said “The game seemed unfair.” and Braden Thompson said, “The whole other side seemed too competitive.” They were then asked what the Cowboys did great at and they both said the run game.
So that was a recap for the Fruita Cowboys from their season and the playoff game against the Orchard Mesa Ravens.
Coach Mac’s Winning Plan: FMS Basketball Players On Hard Work, Discipline, And Success

The 8th-grade boys' basketball team, under the inspiring guidance of Coach Mac, has enjoyed a truly fantastic year, marked by memorable games, personal growth, and team achievements. To show their appreciation for Coach Mac's dedication, leadership, and support throughout the season, the boys have contributed to this article, sharing their experiences and gratitude.
The Fruita Feed has conducted various interviews with the B team basketball players, focusing on their coach. The following questions have served as the outline for these interviews:
1. How would you describe your coach's philosophy or coaching style?
2. Can you explain how your coach handles in-game adjustments and strategy?
3. How would you describe the relationship between the coaches and the players?
These questions have served as a guide for all the interviews. Every single boy has shared some truly insightful and meaningful thoughts during these conversations.
The first question we asked was; How would you describe your coach's philosophy or coaching style? The boys responded with “Coach Mac's coaching style is very on point, we practice how we play. He has no tolerance for messing around.” (Kevi Watt, 8th Grade), “Coach Mac's coaching style is very good; he has little to no tolerance for goofing off and not focusing on a certain drill.” (Aidyn Cisar, 8th grade). These boys have explained how Coach Mac has great discipline and keeps them accountable.
Next, we asked the boys; Can you explain how your coach handles in-game adjustments and strategy? The boys answered with “He doesn't get mad when we don't play well and calls a time out” (Mason Nelson, 8th grade), “He handles adjustments well. He’s always watching the court and ready to see what to fix, or what’s not working.” (Kevi Watt, 8th Grade). The boys described their coach as calm and attentive, noting that he watches the game closely and makes appropriate adjustments during matches.
Finally, we asked the boys; How would you describe the relationship between the coaches and the players? Which they answered, “The relationship between the coach and players is great and helps us during the game.” (Corbyn Carrithers, 8th grade). The boys described the relationship between coaches and players as positive and supportive, which helps them during games.
The 8th-grade boys' basketball team, guided by Coach Mac, had an excellent year focused on growth and achievement. The players appreciated Coach Mac's disciplined coaching style, his calm and collected approach during games, and a positive, supportive relationship that benefited them on the court. The team shared their insights and gratitude through interviews, highlighting the coach's effective strategies and leadership.

The Fruita Middle School boys basketball season has just begun and is definitely off to a great start. Oct. 16th was their first game of the season. A, B, and C teams won. These players have been working hard at practices and putting in all the effort to be the best they can be.
This basketball season has started strongly, with their coaches leading them to victory. Coach Ray for the A team, Coach Mac for the B team, and Coach Beach for the C team. All these coaches have been showing their players what hard work and determination looks like through many practices and leading by example. The coaches show up enthusiastic and ready to give good feedback to their players.
We interviewed a player from each of the A, B, and C teams. For our A-team interview, we spoke with player Kasen Landini to get his thoughts on this season's start. We asked Kasen, What was the most exciting moment for you in the game yesterday? He told us, after they won, because it showed us what was good about the game and what could be improved on. It also gave us the taste of success. We also asked Kasen, What is one thing that went really well for you guys, and one thing you want to work on? He says, ”They worked well on defense, but they need to take more time with the ball.” Next, we asked, “What do you think was the biggest challenge your team faced, and how did you try to overcome it? “Possessing the ball was definitely one of our challenges, and taking time.”
For our next interview, we talked to Kevin Watt. We asked Kevin, What has been the most exciting moment for you in all your games? He replied, “Probably the first time I scored. It was a big achievement I was excited about.” Next, we asked Kevi, What do you think is the biggest challenge your team faced, and how do you try to overcome it? “So far, this season we haven’t faced Redlands, which will be our hardest game, but otherwise it was west.” Lastly, we asked Kevin How do you think your team works together? “We all know each other's play styles and how to adjust to their needs.”
For our last interview, we spoke with Asher Seriani. We asked Asher what he was most looking forward to during the season. He told us, “Playing in the championship.” We also requested Asher What is one thing that went really well for you guys, and one thing you want to work on? “What worked well was the 2 3 zone, and what we want to work on is our new play called 5 Of Fruita.”
These Wildcats have been putting in their best effort, showing up as a team and giving it all they’ve got on the court. Never giving up and persevering through hard times. This sport is great for teamwork, other life skills, and opportunities.
