Texas Roadhouse V.S Chick-fil-A
Written by Reagan Coombs: Arts and Entertainment Reporter
Texas Roadhouse is infinite buttery rolls and creamy, sweet cinnamon butter, big juicy rare steaks, and sweet sticky barbecue ribs. While Chick-fil-a is crispy chicken sandwiches with diced pickle and salty fun-shaped waffle fries, and soft creamy hand-spun milkshakes with a cherry on top. Even the cherry tastes of absolute joy. Both are very loved by the public and very popular, but if one were to overthrow the other, who would win? The students of Fruita Middle School will decide. But first, let's take a look at the facts.
Chick-fil-A was founded in 1946 by S. Truett Cathy in Hapeville, Georgia. Chick-fil-A has now expanded greatly, with over 2,600 restaurants built. But It wasn't always this way. Cathy was always hard working throughout his whole life. First, being born into the great depression and being in the US Army until 1946. That's when he and his brother, Ben Cathy, wanted to go into the restaurant business. Starting with just the Original Chicken Sandwich. Here are some fun facts about Chick-fil-A, so it's not all boring...
Vermont and Alaska are the only two states without a Chick-fil-A
The most popular item on the menu is the original Chicken sandwich
The Peach Milkshake is the most popular milkshake, with Cookies in cream in a close second
Cucumber slices have to soak for three days before they are used for sandwiches
Waffle fries are the most ordered item on the menu
There are new floats and frosted sodas at Chick-fil-A, launched January 5, 2026
Texas Roadhouse was founded in 1993 by Wayne Kent Taylor in Clarksville, Indiana. Texas Roadhouse is growing with over 800 restaurants built. But before there was a Texas Roadhouse, there were big ideas. Taylor was inspired to create his own restaurant by the hometown restaurants in his town. He started with sweet, juicy barbecue ribs and sweet, buttery dinner rolls. Here are some more fun facts about Texas Roadhouse...
There are Texas Roadhouse's globally
The most ordered item is the 6-ounce tenderloin steak
All its food is made from scratch
The first Texas Roadhouse wasn't founded in Texas
Texas Roadhouse originally served Mexican food
Each restaurant has its own artwork
Texas Roadhouse originally had live music
Texas Roadhouse steak sauce contains raisins
Texas Roadhouse was once called the loudest restaurant in America
So who will win after facing the facts? Only the students of Fruita Middle School will decide. Use the link below to put in your answer. Here are some customer reviews from Fruita Middle School students...

Owala freesip
Sip, Gulp, or pour! The colors are endless and match each other beautifully. Not as expensive as others, and it is very indestructible.

** ALL GAMES HERE ARE 9+ OR UNDER!**
I'm sure a lot of people have heard about the website/game "Roblox," whether you play it or not. Here are some underrated games to help you get away from the popular page.
Grave/Digger: This game is highly underrated and deserves more attention. This game takes place in an alternate WW1 ending. The earth and its populace is split in 2; The Golden Empire and the Royal Nation. There was calm at first, but then the Golden Empire attacked the Royal Nation. War started back up again, and bombs ravaged the surface, making the soil toxic. The world and its populace were forced underground. But war did not rest. In the game, you fight with guns in a nearly fully mineable environment. The game is lore-rich, fun, and has currency to upgrade your soldier.
RUNNING FROM THE INTERNET: This game has barely any people playing it; it should have more. This game is Evade and Arsenal combined. The game has you running from "Nextbots" 2d pictures that chase you and try to kill you. But while trying to do all of that, you also have to worry about other players out for you. You must compete for the crown, the player with the most kills, wins. This game is fast-paced and fun.
Randomizer: This game is currently dying; it needs more love. This game is a gun game. It's basically Arsenal, but every time you die, you get different, wacky guns. With famous weapons such as the Crucible and the Minigun. The game has different maps to choose from, which, of course, are randomized. This game is fast-paced and fun to play with friends.
untitled tag game: As much as how lazy the title sounds, there aren't even any capitals in the title of the game. But this game is well, tag. But different. There is diffrent game modes such as: Competitive, Slasher, Infection, Casual, and so much more. The game features complex game mechanics, such as rolling, sliding, and even swinging from bars. The game is fast-paced and is great alone or with friends.

Restaurants used to be a nice sit-down place where you would go to eat and interact with fellow people, but is it becoming like a fast food place where you can order from your phone and just get it to go? There is still a vast difference between your average fast food and restaurants, but the idea is becoming the same. When I say that, I mean how when you think of fast food its takeout, but you can get something from Olive Garden, even really fancy restaurants, you can just get it to go. We know how fast food started doing mobile ordering (Taco Bell started that), but you can do that with anything now. So, as you can see, restaurants and fast food are slightly meshing together, and we need there to still be a vast difference. For one thing, fast food was made for busy families, and it was a good meal you could just eat fast in the car. But then you have restaurants you go make a reservation sometimes, and you sit eat your meal, and talk if you're with someone. But in conclusion, the difference is still there, but it’s becoming less and less.
Is This Coming Back?
By Braden Thompson, 7th Grade Sports Editor
Let’s go back to when you were really young, around the early 2010s. If you had older siblings, you might remember a game called Skylanders — the series that literally brought toys to life. It launched at the perfect time, especially because the older Spyro franchise was starting to fade and needed a fresh start. Skylanders became that reboot, and it fit perfectly.
For six years, six games, and hundreds of collectible figures, Skylanders was a huge success. And then, just as quickly as it arrived, it disappeared. No new games, no new figures — gone.
But fans still wonder: could Skylanders ever come back? If it does, it might be closer than we think.
Top 10 Types of Cookies
Sweet treats, grandma's house, holidays, and a cold glass of milk, ring any bells? Yep, cookies you know ‘em, you love ‘em, but have you ever pondered which cookie is truly on top?
Chocolate Chip
Explanation: Chocolate chip cookies are by far the most classic and most popular cookies. This old classic brings feelings of comforting, delicious warmth, and nostalgia. I’ve certainly never met a person who would turn down a chocolate chip cookie, and if someone out there would, I definitely don’t want to meet them.
Pumpkin Cookies
Explanation: Pumpkin cookies may not rank so high on everyone's list, but pumpkin cookies are seasonal, soft, and a staple in my household. Whether you top them with powdered sugar, a little sweet drizzle, or just eat them plain, pumpkin cookies are purely delectable.
Gingerbread Cookies
Explanation: Simply a Christmas classic. Gingerbread cookies may not be popular all year round, but when the holidays roll around, this cookie truly takes the cake, or should I say cookie? Maybe it's the experience of cutting out the little gingerbread men shapes or the placebo effect of the jolly spirit, but these cookies definitely deserve to be in the top three.
Sugar Cookies
Explanation: Easily the most decorative cookie. Sugar cookies are a little basic, but I fear that if I put them any lower, I would be shunned by the cookie lover community. This cookie is probably the only one on this list that NEEDS frosting. However, the sugar cookie is still pretty enjoyable, I must admit.
Brookies
Explanation: This half cookie, half brownie mix is truly the best of both worlds. By combining two already amazing desserts, this cookie creates something any cookie or brownie lover will enjoy.
Peanut Butter Cookies
Explanation: Peanut butter cookies may not be the most popular and may be an acquired taste, but they are still delectable. The judgment this cookie receives may be deserved, but you must admit that a warm, soft peanut butter cookie and a cold glass of milk sound delicious! Or maybe I’m just hungry?
Oatmeal
Explanation: Oatmeal cookies, especially with raisins, aren't everyone's favorite, and they're not mine either, but I believe someone out there likes them. Besides their healthy, gritty flavour, oatmeal cookies very well remind me of my grandma, and for that, they are ranked number 7.
Shortbread Cookies
Explanation: Shortbread cookies are simple, buttery, and perfect for dipping in tea. It pains me to put them so low on the list; however, all the other cookies are just a little bit more popular and diverse.
Pizzelle Cookies
Explanation: A very unknown cookie but very popular in my household around Christmas and general holidays. Pizzelle cookies are delicate Italian waffle cookies that are known and loved for their detailed patterns and crunchy texture. However, I ranked pizzelles so low because they are not like your typical cookie, which can be good, but can also make pizzelles undesirable.
Snickerdoodle Cookies
Explanation: Snickerdoodles being last is truly a personal preference and decision but one I am 100% ok with making. I dislike snickerdoodles for their particularly chewy and tangy nature, but I understand how others may enjoy a cookie like that. From this list, you may gather I like softer cookies, which is a fair judgment, but does lead to an unfair bias to cookies like the snickerdoodle.
Of course not everyone is going to have the same opinion as me, but I hope this list at least semi-resembles an accurate (slightly biased) ranking of the top ten types of cookies. However, cookie preference is truly up to interpretation so I highly encourage you to make a list of your favorite cookies!
