Kindergarten

All day kindergarten students attend music twice a week. Some of the things they are learning during their time in class include:

• How to keep a steady beat

• How to echo rhythms and begin to read rhythm

• Singing voice vs. speaking voice

• Match pitch

• Perform on both pitched and unpitched percussion instruments

• Understand same/different in music

• Body awareness through music and movement
