2nd quarter began with the students getting a choice in which unit they would like to participate in-volleyball or football. The next unit will be basketball and students will learn and practice the basic fundamentals of basketball, learning dribbling, passing, and shooting. Students will then move into game play in teams and will continue to participate in fitness days weekly in an effort to increase their cardiovascular & muscular endurance for their upcoming Pacer summative test.
We are starting second quarter with our volleyball unit. The students will learn and practice the basic fundamentals of volleyball and will end the unit with game play. The students will also participate in fitness twice per week in an effort to increase their cardiovascular & muscular endurance.
We are in the midst of our cross country & soccer units. The students are learning about the sport of cross country and are working their endurance up to jog our mini course soon. For our soccer unit, students are involved in drills to learn the skills necessary for game play. We are looking forward to hosting our Midnight Mile event soon!
The students are settling into the new school year with their PE uniforms, lockers, class expectations, & routines. We will begin our cross country & soccer units next week.
