Congratulations to the 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Bands for their performance at Judson University on February 24.  Your craftmanship is refined.

More congratulations to the Matt Bishop Big Band for their performance at the New Trier Jazz Festival and at The Venue in Aurora.  Keep swinging!

Our next Band Concert is on Wednesday, April 30 at DMS.  The 5th and 7th Grade Bands will perform at 6:00pm.  The 6th and 8th Grade Bands will perform at 7:30pm.

Our next Chorus Concert is called "Back to the 80s!" We will celebrate many mega hits of the 80's. Students are encouraged to style their hair and/or wear accessories from the 80's for this concert. Families attending are also encouraged to dress like the 80s!

Tickets for our musical Frozen Jr. go on sale at the Elgin Community College box office on Wednesday March 12th. Go to www.eccartscenter.org/tickets

Bella Voce and Valiant Voices will perform at the Illinois Grade School Music Association Choral Organization Contest on Saturday March 8th. Students will receive written and in person feedback from guest clinicians. 

Please remind your singer that they should be prepared with their choral binder and pencil on a daily basis and should spit gum out before class begins.  

Our final Orchestra Concerts are May 15th, 2025. THERE ARE TWO ORCHESTRA CONCERTS ON MAY 15th. Some of the 5th and 6th graders will perform at 6pm. The 7th, 8th, and some of the other 5th graders will perform at 7:30pm.

The DMS 7th Grade Orchestra students had a great time at Dundee Crown with Mr. Krauska and his high school orchestra students. We learned lots and had a blast!!!

7th and 8th grade students need new method books for class. 7th grade orchestra students need Essential Elements Book 2 for their specific instrument. 8th grade students need Essential Technique Book 3 for their specific instrument.
