Welcome to Stagg High School World Languages! My name is Ms. Perea (Senorita Perea) and this my first year teaching at Stagg High School. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Spanish Teacher Education from Illinois State University. If this is not your first year at Stagg High School, you may have noticed me around the school during the 2022-2023 school year! After I completed my student-teaching assignment at Carl Sandburg High School, I was selected for a District New Teacher Internship at Stagg High School. I have had the opportunity to be welcomed back as a full-time Spanish Teacher this upcoming 2023-2024 school year. 

Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with friends and family. My favorite places to be are at White Sox games, dancing, getting boba tea, concerts, and the Starbucks drive thru. I am a Southside native with a heritage-speaking background. My parents were born and raised in Mexico while my older brother and I were both born and raised here. My Mexican-American heritage is everything to me!

I will be teaching Spanish 1, Spanish 2, and Spanish 3 Heritage. I am so excited to be commencing my career here at Stagg.
