It is my great pleasure to meet you!

My name is Sra. Anne Reedy and I am honored to be teaching Spanish at Stagg High School, currently in my 21st year. While this past year, we all have been through such challenging times, I can not think of a better place to teach and learn! We work together to overcome adversity and find the joy in our students themselves as well as their achievements.

Un poco de mí ( A bit about me)

I am actually a Biology major, having graduated from Purdue University in 1981! How does Spanish fit in? Way back when I was in 6th grade, Marta S. arrived from Cuba with her family, none of whom spoke much English. She lived in my neighborhood and attended the same school as I. When we became friends, I decided I would learn her beautiful language so that I could get to know her family better and enjoy the lively music that greeted me when I visited. So I took as much Spanish as I possibly could to become fluent, including studying in Mexico City at La Universidad Iberoamericana.

I am a wife of 37 years to my wonderful husband and I have 4 incredible sons, now grown. I am also blessed with a beautiful, energetic 5 year old grandson on one end of the amazing journey of life as well as a 93 year old father who continues to surprise me with his zest for life. I want to be like him when I grow up!
