The print media sequence is three semester long courses: Print Media 1, Print Media 2, and Media Arts Design and Development. This page contains information for Print Media 1 and 2. Many students who like print media also take a Web Development course while at Stevenson.

Print Media 1

In Print Media 1, students will be introduced to the basics of graphic design including digital image manipulation, digital illustration, and page layout using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Students will learn to design for digital printing technologies and will learn how to operate digital printing equipment. Each student will design and produce a decal, a laser cut item, notepads, a t-shirt, a canvas poster, a package, a promotional product, a calendar, a 3D print, and buttons.

Print Media 2

Print Media 2 is a continuation of Print Media 1. Students will continue to develop in the areas of graphic design including digital image capture, digital illustration, and page layout using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Students will continue to learn to design for digital printing technologies. Each students will design and produce t-shirts, decals, cards, wall clings, packaging, and will print on 3D items.
