Hello students and parents! My name is Reed Carlson and this will be my 12th year teaching science at Palmer High School.
I am originally from Des Moines, IA and went to the University of Iowa. I started coming to Colorado in 1978 and have spent at least a week here every year since. I moved to Washington, DC after college to live my big city life but the mountains were calling and I found myself spending more and more time in Colorado so I decided to move here for good in 2001.
I went to a high school with 3000 students and have taught in one with as few as 60 so Palmer is a happy medium. Outside of the school day I find myself mountain biking, skiing, camping, fishing and reffing/coaching swimming. I am currently the boys swim coach at Palmer and serve as the sponsor for the Chem Club.
