The science department at Palmer has a wealth of both teaching and industry experience. The science faculty has over 250 years of combined teaching experience, international teaching experiences in El Salvador, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and Kenya, and 100% of our teaching staff holds a graduate degree. 

In addition to classroom teaching, members of our department have backgrounds as environmental technicians, field and lab geologists, university cadaver lab instructors, university archaeology technicians, Army NCOs, birders, craft brewers, certified nursing assistants, instructors on tall ships, and raft and mountain bike instructors.
