Chapter 6: Like, Dislikes, Food, Action Verbs, Sports, Gustar, Querer, Preferir & Jugar
Objective: Students will discuss likes/dislikes/preferences/wants using food, sports and action verb vocabulary and the verbs gustar, querer, jugar and preferir.
Targets:
Define and recite food, sports and action verb vocabulary.
Use indirect object pronouns with gustar.
Choose the correct form of gusta vs. gustan to match what the person is liking.
Conjugate preferir and choose the correct conjugations when constructing sentences about preferences.
Conjugate querer and choose the correct conjugations when constructing sentences about wants.
Conjugate jugar and choose the correct conjugations when constructing sentences about sports they play.
Ask and respond to questions using the verbs gustar, querer, jugar and preferir.
Answer questions after reading short paragraphs with food, sports and action verb vocabulary and the verbs gustar, querer, jugar and preferir.
Create a project by writing short paragraphs using food, sports and action verb vocabulary using the verbs gustar, querer, jugar and preferir.
Speaking goals: Write a response in a complete sentence in Spanish and practice before test date.
