Grant Applications, including the completed form and any additional material or communications, shall be submitted to PiE as follows:
Grant applications will be accepted from November 4, 2024 to January 17, 2025.
Grant Requests shall be reviewed by the Grant Committee.
If the Request does not fit the guidelines, the applicant will be notified in writing and given the opportunity to (quickly) submit a revised application.
If the Committee decides the Request fits the guidelines and merits full or partial funding, that recommendation will be noted and shared at the next PiE meeting.
If approved, the Fundraising Committee shall notify the applicant, and coordinate with the Treasurer on timing of the dispersing of the Funds.
Grant recipients must expend the funds by June 30, 2025 or make special arrangements with the PiE Treasurer for an extension.
If the Request is denied, the Fundraising Committee shall notify the applicant, and explain why the Request was denied.
The Fundraising Committee shall report back at the next PiE meeting.
Grants from PiE are intended to support activities or materials that supplement and enhance classroom instruction. Funds should not be requested for items included in the regular school budget or any departmental budget.
Requests should be designed to support opportunities for teachers to initiate new or creative instructional strategies/activities.
Requests will be strengthened by the number of students impacted, cross-team opportunities, and a strong link to curriculum and instruction or improved school climate.
Successful applications will be filled out completely and provide adequate information for the Fundraising Committee to make an informed recommendation. This must include a detailed description of the need being met by the activity and how many students will benefit directly from the grant.
Applicants are expected to attend a PiE meeting to address any questions from PiE about the request. Additional information may be required after this meeting.
