Audrey Bates
My name is Audrey Bates, I am a K-2 Special Education teacher. My husband and I are moving back to Vermont after being in Denver for 8 years. We are excited to be close to my family, who live throughout the Champlain Valley. I grew up in New England, and have a love for the northeast. I love to ski, swim, sail, hike, rollerblade and just spend time outside, especially in the Green Mountains.
I went to school at Hobart & William Smith Colleges, for undergraduate, and earned my masters at University of Colorado - Denver, in Special Education. I have been teaching as a mild/moderate teacher in Denver for 3+ years, and have loved every minute of it. I am so excited to be joining your Allen Brook School team and look forward to meeting you all in the new school year!

My name is Jen Lemieux and I have been a Speech and Language Pathologist at Allen Brook School since 1998. I graduated with a Masters in Communication Science from the University of Vermont in 1997. I love my job and the people I work with! I live in Williston with my son Noah. In addition to working at Allen Brook, I also provide private therapy to children in their homes as well as consult with SLPs in other districts. In my free time I love the gym, yoga, travel and spending as much time as possible with friends. Laughter is the best medicine.

Hello! My name is Chiara Maltese, and I am excited to be joining the Special Education team at Allen Brook School, working with the kindergarten team. I have previously worked at the American School of Bombay in Mumbai, India, with PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st graders as a Special Education teacher and before that was based in Portland, OR, where I taught in a few different positions around the city, including as a full- immersion classroom teacher and a coach. I love the energy of working with younger children, and am excited to meet all the children and staff at Allen Brook. When I am not at work I am often outside with my husband Bruce and daughter Petra, we love to explore, cook, create all kinds of things, and are excited to be new homeowners in the Burlington area.
Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Alex Roth and I am excited to be joining the Williston Schools community. I was born and raised in San Diego, California, but have since lived in Denver, Colorado, Baltimore, Maryland, and most recently in Bogota, Colombia. Aside from my obvious love for travel, I enjoy reading, exercise, spending time in nature, and listening to interesting podcasts! Most of all, I enjoy quality time with my family and friends. Teaching is my professional passion and I’m excited for the opportunity to continue engaging in this passion at the Williston Schools. I am eager to work and learn alongside each one of you in the coming school year!
