I have had the pleasure of working in the Champlain Valley School District since 2013. I currently serve a dual role as both the Director of Special Services at HCS and as the CVSD Director of Parentally-Placed Services, which includes coordination of various services for students enrolled in independent schools or home study programs. Before coming to Hinesburg, I was a Special Educator at Williston Central School, as well as in Addison and Washington counties. I love working at HCS and CVSD, and take pride in our school, and in our district! Among many other things, I am proud of our MTSS systems and our commitment to inclusive practices and early intervention. In my spare time, I love to hike, read, do yoga, and travel to anywhere warm.

Welcome to HCS! My name is Jen Bradford, and I am the special educator working with the 7th grade team. My goal each day is to give every student a sense of belonging and to help them grow in their confidence socially and academically. I live in Hinesburg and my own children spent their K-8 careers here. My daughter now attends St John Fisher College in Rochester, NY and my son is a junior at UVM. Prior to moving to Vermont, I taught high school English in Newark, NY for 12 years. When I am not teaching, I like to run, read, ski and spend time with my family. I am the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for Preschool and Kindergarten at Hinesburg Community School. In addition to my role within the building, I also provide speech and language services to preschool children within their early childhood preschool settings. I have worked as a SLP for CVSD since 1999. At that time, I was hired as part of the school’s commitment to provide quality early intervention services to preschoolers and to build the school’s relationship with our youngest community members and their families. Prior to working at HCS, I spent 19 years at Charlotte Central School working with students PK-8. Before moving to Vermont, I worked as a speech language pathologist at a rural private special education preschool program in the Albany, New York area. I live in Hinesburg and have two high schoolers at CVU. In my spare time, I enjoy gravel biking, trail running, and spectating my children's various sporting events. (GO REDHAWKS!)
