Prerequisite: None, non-auditioned; Private lessons are not required but strongly encouraged.
Orchestra is a conducted string ensemble designed for students of all skill levels. The course provides a comprehensive approach to developing fundamental musical and performance techniques, sight reading, and music theory. Students gain experience performing in a collaborative ensemble setting while exploring a variety of orchestral literature.
Students are required to participate in all concerts, festivals, and performances scheduled for this ensemble by the University Instrumental Music Program.
Performances: Three concerts on campus, regional festivals, outreach performances, and graduation.
