Prerequisite: None, non-auditioned
Concert Band is a conducted wind ensemble open to students of all skill levels. The course emphasizes the development of fundamental musical and performance techniques, sight reading, and music theory. Students work collaboratively to perform a variety of repertoire that builds both individual musicianship and ensemble skills.
Students are required to participate in all concerts, festivals, and performances scheduled for this ensemble by the University Instrumental Music Program.
Performances: Three concerts on campus, regional festivals, pep band, the Lilac Parade, outreach performances, and graduation.

Percussion students should enroll in Percussion Ensemble rather than Concert Band.

Lower Sizes are thinner reeds and easier to play, Higher Sizes are thicker but produce better tone/intonation
One reed should last about a month if cared for properly
Should be applied on cork once to twice a month, or as needed
