Prerequisite: Audition; Private lessons are not required but strongly encouraged.
Chamber Orchestra is a non-conducted string ensemble limited to 16 members. This advanced-level group focuses on refining musicality through the study of advanced performance techniques, sight reading, and music theory. Students develop collaborative skills in a chamber setting, performing challenging repertoire that emphasizes precision, balance, and independence.
Students are required to participate in all concerts, festivals, and performances scheduled for this ensemble by the University Instrumental Music Program, including the NEMEA Solo/Ensemble Competition in January.
Performances: Three concerts on campus, regional festivals, solo/ensemble competition, outreach performances, and graduation.

Wind Ensemble is a conducted wind ensemble for advanced musicians. This course focuses on advanced musical and performance techniques, sight reading, and music theory. Students perform high-level repertoire that challenges their technical and expressive abilities while fostering a strong sense of ensemble precision and artistry.
Students are required to participate in all concerts, festivals, and performances scheduled for this ensemble by the University Instrumental Music Program.
Performances: Three concerts on campus, regional festivals, pep band, the Lilac Parade, outreach performances, and graduation.
